The following file, PTASLIST.INI, is an updated version of the IACP Consumer Products List for Radar Units for your PRO-TECT software.  Follow these instructions to download and install this file.
 
1) Locate the folder on your hard drive where Pro-Tect is installed.  You can do this as follows:
a) Click Start
b) Point to Programs
c) Point to Pro-Tect 3.0
d) Point to Pro-Tect 3.0 (again)
e) RIGHT-CLICK the final Pro-Tect 3.0 item and select Properties from the menu that appears.
f) In the Properties dialog that appears, click 'Find Target' to open the folder where Pro-Tect is installed.
g) Close the Properties dialog.
 
2) In the folder that contains your Pro-Tect software, find the current file named PTASLIST.INI.  Right-click this file and select Rename from the menu that appears.  Cursor to the start of the name and add an underscore there, but do not change anything else.  Then press ENTER.  When you are done the file name should be "_PTASLIST.INI".  If it is not, then repeat the rename process until it is.
 
3) Click the link to download the file.  Save it to the Pro-Tect software folder where you just finished renaming your old PTASLIST.INI file.
 
4) Close the view of your Pro-Tect software folder.
 
This completes the instructions for updating your system.  When you next use the New Radar Wizard in Pro-Tect, the drop-down Manufacturer and Model lists will show all of the products on the IACP Consumer Products List.
