Using the VOCAR-PT Clock Utility -------------------------------- ********************************************************** ******** If software is from email, UNZIP THE FILE ******* ******** you can unzip the file directly ***************** ******** to the directory mentioned below **************** ********************************************************** 1. Copy ClockUtility.exe to the directory on your PC where the Pro-Tect software is installed. To easily determine this location: > Highlight the Pro-Tect icon in the Start Programs list and right-click it > Select Properties > In the Properties dialog, select the Find Target button > Windows will open a directory window for the folder where the Pro-Tect software is installed. >>>> MAKE SURE PRO-TECT SOFTWARE IS NOT RUNNING <<<<<<<<<<<<<< 2. Double-click ClockUtility.exe to start it. 3. Connect your VOCAR-PT to a serial port on your PC and turn the VOCAR-PT on. In the ClockUtility program, select the appropriate port from the drop-down list. 4. Click the button marked '1-Set Time'. This will set the time in the VOCAR-PT to match the current time on your PC. 5. Click the button marked '3-Set Main'. This will reset the calibration date of your VOCAR-PT. 6. Click the 'x' in the upper right corner of the ClockUtility program to exit. >>>>>> DO NOT TURN THE VOCAR-PT OFF AFTER SETTING THE DATE!!! <<<<<< >>>>>> DO NOT CLICK ANY OTHER BUTTONS IN THE PROGRAM!!! <<<<<< IMPORTANT: IF YOUR VOCAR-PT HAS A BATTERY FAILURE, IT WILL LOSE ITS CALIBRATION DATE EVERY TIME YOU SHUT IT OFF. THEREFORE YOU SHOULD LEAVE THE VOCAR-PT TURNED ON AFTER YOU PERFORM THIS PROCEDURE, AND UNTIL YOU ARE DONE CERTIFYING UNITS. TO RESET THE DATE AGAIN, FOLLOW STEPS 2-6 ABOVE. DB INNOVATIONS HIGHLY RECOMMENDS THAT YOU SEND YOUR VOCAR-PT IN FOR SERVICE IMMEDIATELY IF THE CALIBRATION DATE HAS BECOME UNUSABLE FOR SOME REASON.
